Editorial Policy & Sources
Immigration is a high-stakes topic. Here is how we research, source, and keep our content accurate — and where our guidance ends and official authority begins.
Who we are
India Visa Experts is an independent private immigration consultancy. We are not affiliated with the Government of India, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of External Affairs, the Bureau of Immigration, the FRRO, or any government agency. We help foreign nationals and companies prepare and manage India visa and compliance matters; the decisions themselves rest solely with the relevant authorities.
How we research & source
Our guidance is grounded in official Indian government sources, not second-hand summaries. We reference and link to primary sources so you can verify everything yourself:
- The official India e-Visa portal and Indian Visa Online
- The Ministry of Home Affairs (Foreigners Division) and the Bureau of Immigration
- The e-FRRO portal for registration, extensions, and Exit Permits
- Notices from Indian missions abroad (embassies and high commissions)
- Current statute — including the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025
Accuracy standards (YMYL)
Visa and immigration content affects people's money, travel, and legal status, so we hold it to a higher bar. We do not fabricate facts, figures, or success statistics. Where amounts change frequently — such as official penalty schedules or fees — we describe the rule and point you to the official source rather than quoting a number that may be out of date. Where an outcome is discretionary, we say so plainly. Our content is general guidance and not legal advice.
Review & updates
Immigration rules change. We review our guides periodically and when the rules materially change, and nationality guides carry a “last reviewed” date. Even so, always confirm the current position on the official sources before you act — the authorities' published requirements take precedence over anything on this site.
